Better World Builders was founded in 2007 by two licensed contractors from Duluth, MN, with a common interest in building and remodeling with energy-efficient, environmentally aware practices and materials.

Pete Dingels and Leon Rohrbaugh Jr. don’t just bid on projects and close deals. They are hands-on owners who see your project through to their exacting standards. Both are certified as Green Professionals by the National Association of Homebuilders and are trained Residential Energy Auditors.

Better World Builders can do a blower door test on your home, depressurizing it to pinpoint air leaks and using an infrared camera to zero in on the weakest parts of your building’s envelope. Pete and Leon then create a strategic plan that focuses your resources first on where they’ll do the most good in terms of energy savings. They’re also experienced working in historic homes and creating solutions that respect history while delivering energy efficiency.
